💔 From Bullied to Brave: Jasmine’s Story of Overcoming

When Jasmine was in 6th grade, school felt like a battlefield.
Every day, she walked through the halls with her head down, hoping no one would notice her. But they always did.

The mean kids called her names.
They laughed at her clothes.
They whispered behind her back and sometimes even pushed her books out of her hands.
She cried in the bathroom more times than she could count.

Jasmine used to wonder, “Why me? What did I do wrong?”
She started to believe the lies—that she wasn’t pretty enough, smart enough, or cool enough to matter.

But something changed in 8th grade.

One day, after school, her aunt sat her down and said something Jasmine never forgot:
“Just because they don’t see your value doesn’t mean it’s not there.”

Those words planted a tiny seed of hope in Jasmine’s heart.

She started journaling every day—writing down one good thing about herself.
She joined a youth group where the other kids welcomed her with open arms.
She told a teacher what was happening—and that teacher helped her feel safe again.

It didn’t get better overnight, but slowly, Jasmine began to see herself the way God sees her—loved, chosen, strong.

Now, Jasmine is 27.
She’s a mentor who helps other teens find their voice.
She’s confident. Kind. Brave.
She didn’t let the bullies win.
And guess what? You don’t have to either.

đź’¬ If You're Being Bullied, Please Know:

You're not alone. And it’s NOT your fault.
There are people who care and want to help. Here's what you can do:

  1. Tell a trusted adult.
A parent, teacher, school counselor, or youth pastor. Speak up—even if your voice shakes.

  2. Don't believe the lies.
Bullies often act out of their own pain. What they say about you is not the truth.

  3. Find safe spaces.
Whether it’s a club, a church group, or a trusted mentor—surround yourself with people who build you up.

  4. Remember who you are.
You were made on purpose, for a purpose. No one can take that from you.

🌟 You Are Not What They Say.

You are strong. You are seen. And you are never alone.

If you need help right now, here are two places you can start:

  • Talk to a trusted adult—even if it’s hard, your safety and your heart matter.
